About me
Amber L. Moore is a doctoral candidate in Teacher Education and Learning Sciences, with a concentration in Literacy and English Language Arts, at North Carolina State University. Her research sits at the intersection of visual methodologies, embodied literacies, and alternative literacy practices, with a particular focus on sustainable integration in classroom spaces. She also investigates how multimodal and narrative-based approaches foster engagement with historical trauma and civic life, including work rooted in heavy histories. Amber is committed to trauma-informed literacy pedagogy and to preparing preservice teachers to build equitable, humanizing learning environments that honor multiple ways of knowing and making meaning.
