With over 25 years of teaching experience, Dr. Stefanou is a seasoned educator and researcher whose work spans multiple interdisciplinary domains. Her primary research interests include Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), User Experience (UX), Interaction Design, Learning Experience Design, and Design Thinking, with a strong focus on online and blended learning environments. Dr. Stefanou is particularly passionate about exploring the integration of AI tools in education to enhance learner engagement and accessibility. She has contributed to the academic community through numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and conferences, addressing topics such as the role of Design Thinking methodologies and principles in technology-enhanced learning, the usability of educational technologies, and the application of AI in personalized learning systems. Her research not only informs her teaching practices but also supports her mission to create innovative, learner-centered solutions that align with modern educational challenges. She holds a PhD in e-Research and Technology-Enhanced Learning with a focus on blended learning, an MSc in Human-Computer Interaction.
